What i want to do...

Today i want to write about what i want to do in my future. I dream with become in a good Veterinarian and take care to the animals, i think that save them is the most beautiful that someone could do.

 I still does not choose in which area i want to devote, but i'm focusing in big animals or conservation of native fauna. If i choose big animals i think that i could work in farms taking care of cattles. If so, i'd like to travell to the south.

I would like to work with other animals too, as horses, i think that they're a magic world.

I like the idea to work in a zoo too, i think that it could be really fun and a completely new and rewarding experience.

As i said before, i really like horses, so in the summer i want to work to raise money to could join in horseback riding, in our faculty.

I hope to take all of the opportunities that i could take over the years and like this way, when the time comes, be clear in what i want to do, because i really like a lot of things of Veterinary Medicine.

A career-related website

One of my favourite websites is the ''Animal Planet'' website. I discover it because i always watch that channel (Animal Planet) and i enjoy all of their television programs.

In the website, we can find a lot of things related with animals, as a dog and cat guides, amazing dog and cat facts, information about animals health, very interesting details about wild animals, videos, blogs, animal planet pet products and a lot of things more!

I use this website very often, because i think that is very funny and i can find surprising news about animals.

One of the things that i most enjoy from this website are the animal videos, because are very funny and cute.

I like reading about wild animals in this page too, because i'm really interesting in this area of my career, i think it is so exciting and this web site gives you a lot of information about it.

I recomed this website because we can learn a lot and it was specially made for everybody who loves animals, not only for veterinarians.

A country I'd like to visit

If i have to choose a country, i would like to travel to India and stay in there for a long time. I like that place for a lot of things, but specially, i like the culture. I think that is fascinating how they keep their customs lack importance the pass of the time.

I'd like to visit a lot of places in there, like their historic comercial routes or the Brihadeeswarar temple, a simbolic and ancient place.

I like dance and of course Indian music and dances too, so i would love to take Hindú dance classes when i will travel to India.

India is a contry with a lot of religions and beliefs like Hinduismo, Budismo, Jainismo and Sijismo, for example. Personally, i'm not a belief person, but i'm interest in thoughts of other people in that way and i would like to know a little more of India in that sense.

In spite of the poverty in some places, there's other that are beautiful and got surprising stories hidden.

I would like to know the Himalaya nearby because i think that nature is amazing and some times it could be astonishing, like that place. I would like to get to know other annimals too, that aren't in our country, because in India there's big levels of endemic species, as the Dolphin of Ganges, the Monkey of Nilgiri, the Asiatic Lion and the Bengal tiger.

 In the best of the cases, i would like to work taking care of those beautiful animals after graduate of my career.

My vocation

Before think in study Veterinary Medicine, i wanted to study Fonoaudiology. I wanted to work with kids, and i liked the idea of learn them to speak or talk again, because express yourself is so important for all things in your life. But then, i thought... I want to work in the future in a place with nature, not in a consultation with four walls. I like kids, but i like a lot more the animals, because everyone of them have a beautiful soul and they are full of love to give. When i ended the school, i get into a preuniversity and i had a year to think very good what i was going to study.

Finally, i decided to study Veterinary Medicine for a lot of things. Since i was little, i get along with animals, because i lived in a plot with my family and we had many animals. I have always loved play with them, take care of them and ensure them a good heatlh.

I like nature too, from a seed to a big tree or a beautiful flower and that's why i'm interest in protect the enviroment where animals and we live.

My experience at university until now has been wonderful. I like the place, i like the circles among the students and i think that is really cool that we can have contact with animals since the first year.

I'm part of 4A, an association of help to the abandoned animal. Is very comforting see the face of the animal after you clean the kennel, take the dog for a walk where you play with him and then you give him food and give medicine if it is necessary. There's nothing compared with that, because his happiness is yours.

In the future i would like to work in the conservation of native animals. That's the idea that most call my atention.

I love my career, i think that fill your heart and reinvigorate your soul.

About me

Hello! My full name is Paula Andrea Ramírez Millar,  but everybody call me just Paula. I was born on July 19 and I have 20 years old. I live in Santiago and i'm studiyng Veterinary Medicine at University of Chile. I love my career and i want to dedicate to the conservation of native animals.

My family are only two members: My mother Pamela and my aunt Luisa, but i live only with my little dog Matilda and my mother. She's a nurse and she works a lot, so i don't see her very much, but we try to enjoy and make the most of our time together.

When i was little i went to a beautiful garden school called ''Mi primer horizonte''. After that, i went to two different schools. When i finished the studies in the school, i course a pre-university and then, this year, i enter to the University.

Among my hobbies include dancing. When i was 15, my grandmother told me about ballet. She said that she practice that when she was young and i was enchanted with the idea of dance, so i join in a ballet academy as a hobby for 2 years. Ballet is a beautiful dance, it is so slight and soft, and i like it a lot.

Everytime i can, i go to the cinema. I'm fanatic of terror movies and i like watch them in raining days.

In my free time, i like watch series, movies and cartoons like Sailor Moon, SlumDunk, Dragon Ball, between others.
